Advanced Podiatrist

Jordan Green - MSc MSK Podiatry, BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry
Jordan qualified as a Podiatrist in 2008. In 2016 he obtained a postgraduate Master’s Degree in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Podiatry and was awarded a distinction for his dissertation researching musculoskeletal pathologies in healthy amputees.

During his career he has worked in both the NHS and private sectors specialising in musculoskeletal assessment/biomechanics/gait analysis. He spent 5 years appointed as the head surgeon for nail surgery at The NHS New Selby War Memorial Hospital and continues to provide nail surgery privately. This is in addition to core podiatry/chiropody; encompassing management of skin and nail pathologies.

Jordan often delivers presentations and training to other Podiatrists and has been requested by The Society of Podiatrists and Chiropodists for the Yorkshire region to provide his expertise on lower limb musculoskeletal assessments.

Born with Proximal Focal Femoral Deficiency, Jordan has worn a prosthetic leg from an early age which has created a strong empathy with people experiencing lower limb pathologies, and this continues to inspire his work within podiatry.

Advanced Podiatrist

Dr Lorraine Green - PhD, MSc MSK Podiatry, PGCert- Advanced Ultrasound, BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry
Dr. Lorraine Green graduated with a BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry in 2005 and gained extensive NHS experience in core podiatry, high-risk wound care, and biomechanics. She later led multicentre research at the Universities of Leeds and York, focusing on reducing foot pain in Scleroderma and falls prevention in older adults through care packages involving footwear, exercise, and insole therapy.

Lorraine has earned a MSc degree in Podiatric Medicine, specialising in high-risk wound care and musculoskeletal pathology, and has completed a PhD at the University of Leeds School of Medicine. Her PhD explored calcinosis in Scleroderma, including clinical characteristics, patient reported impact and the first international consensus on defining calcinosis via ultrasound.

Lorraine’s expertise spans wound care and musculoskeletal management, with a focus on connective tissue diseases and imaging, which remain applicable to core podiatric conditions. She holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Ultrasound Imaging and is skilled in video-capillaroscopy imaging – a diagnostic technique for patients with Raynaud’s Phenomenon to support the potential diagnosis of connective tissue diseases. She is also a registered non-medical prescriber.

Lorraine continues to work part-time in the NHS as an extended scope practitioner, focusing on high-risk wound care and musculoskeletal issues. She remains dedicated to advancing patient care and translating research into improved patient outcomes.
